Adam was married twice, first to Doris Frances Hollingsworth and later to Marilee Phelps, with whom he had three children.

Adam Williams began his acting career after the war, often playing villainous roles in films and television. He had notable performances in classic shows such as The Twilight Zone, where he appeared in memorable episodes like “The Hitch-Hiker.” One of his most recognized roles was as Valerian in North by Northwest, where he was a henchman to the main antagonist played by James Mason.
