Ahmed Louxor

Ahmed Louxor graduated from the Institute of Representation in 1955. Before his acting career, he worked in the ports and lighthouses department in Alexandria and later in the roads and bridges department in Cairo. He is the uncle of directors Sherif Arafa and Amr Arafa, showcasing a family legacy in the film industry.

Career

Louxor began his acting career in 1952 with a small role in the film “House No. 13.” He gained fame for playing the character Renaud de Chatillon in the 1963 film “Salah Eldin,” directed by Youssef Chahine. His versatility allowed him to take on various roles throughout his career, contributing to numerous films over the decades.

Death and Legacy

Ahmed Louxor passed away on May 12, 1994, in Egypt. His final film was “Sawwaq El Hanem,” released the same year. Louxor’s work in cinema has left a lasting impact, and he is remembered for his memorable performances and contributions to Egyptian arts.
