Born on February 28, 1867, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, Al Hallett was initially known as Albert Herbert Hallett. He was married twice; his first wife was Gertrude Elizabeth Zahn, who tragically passed away in 1907. They had one son named Edward Albert “Ruthafin” Hallett. Later, he married Agnes Johns, who was also an actress, but they remained together until his death in 1935.

Al Hallett passed away on April 3, 1935, in Hollywood, California, USA.
