Tang started acting at the age of 16 with his first significant role in “The Student Prince.” In his peak, he gained immense popularity and was reported to earn HK$150,000 for each film. He starred in more than 60 movies, especially in the drama and romance genres, often featuring alongside actress Brigitte Lin. Eventually, he expanded his career into film production, contributing to notable films like “As Tears Go By.”
