Allen Bernard Martin Jr. was born on March 10, 1936, in Malden, Massachusetts, to Allen Martin Sr. and Marion Brown. He loved acting from a young age and made his stage debut at just seven years old in the Broadway production of The Patriots in 1943. He later studied at Princeton University, earning a BA in European Civilization and an MA in French Studies from the University of Alabama.

Career

After his Broadway experience, Allen transitioned to Hollywood, where he starred in the 1949 film Johnny Holiday alongside William Bendix. He also appeared in the 1951 film Her First Romance, which marked the first screen kiss for co-star Margaret O’Brien. In addition to acting, he taught for many years in different educational institutions and worked in various fields, including writing manuals for computer programs and games.

Death and Legacy

Allen Martin Jr. passed away on February 6, 2021, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, at the age of 84. He is remembered for his warm personality, love for reading, and his dedication to social work, where he supported many individuals in need.
