Personal and Family Life
Andrew Koenig was the son of actor Walter Koenig and Judy Levitt. He had a younger sister, Danielle Koenig, and was also the brother-in-law of comedian Jimmy Pardo. During his college years, he shared an apartment with Greg Bulmash, a former senior editor, while attending the University of Southern California from 1986 to 1987.
Death and Legacy
Andrew Koenig tragically died by suicide on February 14, 2010, in Stanley Park, Vancouver. His body was found after a private search led by family and friends who were concerned for his well-being. He had struggled with clinical depression and had been missing for some time before his death. In memory of Andrew, his father Walter urged fans to support the National Suicide Prevention Hotline and the U.S. Campaign for Burma.
