Anna Kanakis was the daughter of a Greek father and a Sicilian mother. She became Miss Italia in 1977 and started modeling at a young age. She was married twice, first to Claudio Simonetti from 1981 until their divorce in 1984, and later to Marco Merati Foscarini in 2004 until her passing in 2023.

Career

Kanakis began her acting career in the early 1980s after working as a model for various Italian fashion designers. She had a successful career in films and television that lasted until 2007, showcasing her talent in many notable productions.
