Anne Pitoniak

Anne Pitoniak was an American actress who is best known for her roles in Unfaithful, The Survivors, and Hiding Out.

Personal and Family Life

Anne Pitoniak was born on March 30, 1922, in Westfield, Massachusetts. She graduated from what is now the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and later joined the USO, where she met her husband, Jerome Edward Milord, during a show in Japan. They married on June 17, 1950, and had two children but divorced in 1968. Later in life, Pitoniak pursued acting at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute.

Career

After her marriage ended, Pitoniak focused on her acting career, becoming a resident actor at the Actors Theater in Louisville, Kentucky. She gained popularity and received the 1986 Drama Logue Award for her performance in “‘night, Mother” at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. She was also nominated for the Tony Award twice during her Broadway career.

Death and Legacy

Anne Pitoniak passed away on April 22, 2007, in Manhattan, New York City, due to cancer. Her contributions to film and theater left a lasting impact, and she is remembered for her outstanding performances in both film and stage productions.
