Anthony ‘Scooter’ Teague was an American actor who is best known for his roles in West Side Story, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and The Trouble with Girls.

Teague was born Edwin Ardell Teague on January 4, 1940, in Jacksboro, Texas. He attended Jacksboro High School from 1953 to 1955. He was previously married to Penny Nelsen from June 29, 1970, until their divorce, and they had two children together: son Christian (born 1972) and daughter Kendall (born 1975). Teague also had a brother named Charles A Teague.
Career
Always passionate about entertainment, Teague made his mark in theater and film. He originated the role of “Jimmy” in the Broadway musical 110 in the Shade and appeared in the national touring company of A Chorus Line as “Zack.” He also performed as a backup singer for Lisa Kirk’s nightclub act and was featured in a short-lived variety series alongside stars like Rock Hudson and Sammy Davis Jr.
