Antrim Short was born on July 11, 1900, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was married to Frances Morris, and they had one child together. He came from a family of entertainers, as he was the son of actor Lew Short and actress Estelle Short. His cousins include actress Blanche Sweet, and he had two sisters, Gertrude and Florence, who were also actresses.
Career
Short started his career as a juvenile lead with Biograph in 1912. He was a founding member of the Screen Actors Guild. Over time, he transitioned from acting to working behind the scenes, becoming a casting director for Goldwyn, Republic, and Universal studios. In 1947, he established his own talent agency.
Death and Legacy
Antrim Short passed away on November 24, 1972, in Los Angeles, California, from emphysema.
