Arnold Daly, born Peter Christopher Arnold, was born on October 4, 1875, in Brooklyn, New York. He was married twice to Mary Blythe, first to an actress from 1900 to 1903 with whom he had one child, and later to another Mary Blythe in 1905. Daly’s early career began as an office boy for the famous producer Charles Frohman, which was a significant stepping stone in his acting journey.
Death and Legacy
Arnold Daly tragically died in a fire on January 13, 1927, in New York City. His death marked the end of a career where he significantly contributed to American theater, including introducing early works of George Bernard Shaw to American audiences. Despite his untimely death, his work in film and theater left a lasting legacy.
