Arthur Bernard was born on September 29, 1919, in Gary, Indiana, USA. He was married to Madgel Dean and they had four children together. Arthur was also a father to actor Derrel Maury. Throughout his life, he was involved in academia, serving as a professor in the School of Theater, Film and Television at UCLA from 1948 to 1990.
Career
In addition to his acting career, Arthur produced a radio series called ‘Turning Point,’ which aired from 1950 to 1965. The series featured interviews with entertainment pioneers, including notable early film stars like Lillian Gish and Mary Pickford.
