Arthur MacCaig

Arthur MacCaig was an American actor who is best known for The Patriot Game, Euskadi: The Stateless Nation, and A Song for Ireland.

Arthur MacCaig was born on June 13, 1948, in Weehawken, New Jersey. He received his degree in anthropology from the University of Hawaii in 1971 and later studied at France’s National School of Cinema, graduating in 1977. He was also the father of filmmaker Dónal Foreman.

Career

MacCaig was a director and cinematographer known for producing several documentaries. He contributed numerous reports to the television service of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in Paris and founded an independent production company called DATHANNA, which focused on documentary films.
