Axel Monjé

Axel Monjé was an American actor born on June 6, 1910, in Bremerhaven, Germany. He is best known for his roles in “Der keusche Lebemann,” “The Plot to Assassinate Hitler,” and “Die Mücke.” He passed away on August 18, 1962, in West Berlin, West Germany.

Personal and Family Life

From a young age, Axel Monjé aspired to be an actor and pursued voice and acting lessons with Kurt Meister. Besides his performances, he also worked in radio, providing voice dubbing for famous actors such as Errol Flynn and Cary Grant. His military service during the war interrupted his acting career.

Final Performance

Axel Monjé’s last performance took place at the Theater des Westens in the musical “My Fair Lady,” where he stepped in as an understudy. Tragically, he suffered a heart attack while on stage as Colonel Pickering. He died shortly after the incident, at the age of 52, while being taken to the hospital.
