Beatrix Thomson married Claude Rains in November 1924, but they divorced in April 1935. Later, she married Peter Lupino in 1958, remaining with him until her death in 1986. She was the daughter of Benjamin Thomas Lindsay Thomson and Esther Florence Bowker.

Career

Thomson was primarily known for her stage work in Britain. At the age of 35, she gained fame for her role as the femme fatale in Crown V. Stevens. Notably, she became the first British actress to obtain an aviation license in 1929, and during World War II, she volunteered in aircraft production. After the war, she returned to the stage and rarely appeared in films.

Death and Legacy

Beatrix Thomson passed away on February 23, 1986, in Farnham, Surrey. Her contributions to theater and film left a lasting impression, particularly her memorable performances and achievements, such as being one of the early women in aviation.
