Bert Bernard was an American actor best known for his work in Gobs and Gals, Little Claus and Big Claus, and Les Nuits de Paris. Born Herbert James Maxwell in Boston, Massachusetts, he made a name for himself alongside his partner George Bernard as the Bernard Brothers.

Bert Bernard was married to actress Zoe Gail from 1951 until their divorce in 1977. He was also a stepfather to Stacey Gregg. Although he and George Bernard were known as the Bernard Brothers, they were not related by blood.
