Bill Cowsill was an American actor and musician known for his work with the 1960s pop group The Cowsills. He is also recognized for his roles in Leaving Metropolis, Reluctant Angel, and Harmony Cats.

Bill Cowsill was born William Joseph Cowsill Jr. on January 4, 1948, in Middletown, Rhode Island. He was married to Karen Betsy Locke from June 9, 1968, until their divorce in April 1974, and they had one child together. Bill was part of a musical family, forming The Cowsills with his brothers. Later, their mother and two more siblings joined the band.

In addition to his music career, Bill Cowsill also had a brief acting career, appearing in several films and television shows. The Cowsills reached popularity with three Top 10 hits, including “The Rain, the Park and Other Things” and “Indian Lake.” They also inspired the concept for the famous television show, The Partridge Family, which closely mirrored their lives.
