Bob Braun

Bob Braun was an American actor who is best known for his roles in Die Hard 2, Defending Your Life, and Christmas in Connecticut.

Personal and Family Life

Bob Braun was born Robert Earl Braun on April 20, 1929, in Ludlow, Kentucky. He was married to Wray Jean Wilkinson from October 30, 1954, until his death in 2001, and they had one child together. His son, Rob Braun, became a well-known TV newscaster in Cincinnati. Braun had a long career in television, co-hosting a popular regional show called the 50-50 Club in the 1950s and 60s.

Career

In addition to his acting career, Braun was a radio host and returned to WSAI radio in Cincinnati to host a morning show, a station where he interned 50 years earlier. He was recognized as the television spokesman for Craft-Matic adjustable beds in the 1980s and 90s. Braun also recorded several albums and achieved a Top 40 hit with the song “Til Death Do Us Part” in 1962.

Bob Braun passed away on January 15, 2001, in Cincinnati, Ohio, due to cancer and Parkinson’s disease.
