Bob Thomas

Born on January 26, 1922, in San Diego, California, Bob Thomas was married to Patricia Thompson from 1947 until his death in 2014. They had three children together. Thomas pursued his education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he began writing entertainment columns for his school newspaper.

Career

Bob Thomas joined the Associated Press in Los Angeles in 1943, initially hoping to become a war correspondent before being assigned to cover entertainment news. He later became the first reporter-author to earn a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1988. Throughout his career, he gained prominence for covering significant events, including the tragic assassination of Senator Robert F. Kennedy.
