Branka Veselinovic

Branka Veselinovic was an American actress who is best known for Muzej vostanih figura, Pop Cira i pop Spira, and Velika turneja.

Personal and Family Life

Branka Veselinovic was born on September 16, 1918, in Becej, Austria-Hungary (now Serbia). She was the daughter of Aleksandar Cosic, a librarian, and Jovanka Cosic, a teacher. Branka was the sixth child in her family and was married to Mladen ‘Mladja’ Veselinovic from 1948 until his death in 2012.

Career Highlights

Her acting career spanned over 80 years, featuring more than 100 stage performances and around 50 film and television productions. Notably, she made her mark in the 1970 film adaptation of Mel Brooks’s The Twelve Chairs. Branka also performed at several theaters, including the Art Theater and the Yugoslav Drama Theater, where she had over 40 performances.

Death and Legacy

Branka Veselinovic passed away on February 8, 2023, in Belgrade, Serbia. Her legacy includes a rich body of work in both film and theater, which continues to be celebrated. She was remembered as a talented actress who influenced many in the arts.
