Bud Luckey was an American animator, writer, director, and voice actor from Montana. He is best known for his work at Pixar, Sesame Street, and for voicing characters like Eeyore and Chuckles in the Toy Story franchise.

Born on July 28, 1934, in Billings, Montana, Bud’s birth name was William Everett Luckey. He had a deep, gravelly voice and was the father of writer and producer Andy Luckey. Bud contributed significantly to children’s entertainment, having directed and written music for early seasons of Sesame Street.

Luckey became an animator at Pixar shortly after its founding and worked there throughout his career, lending his voice to several beloved characters. He directed and voiced the short film Boundin’ and also played Rick Dicker in The Incredibles and its short Jack-Jack Attack.
