Carmem Silva, born Maria Amália Feijó on April 5, 1916, in Pelotas, Brazil, was married twice. She had one daughter, along with six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She spent much of her life in Porto Alegre, Brazil, where she eventually passed away.
