Cesare Siepi passed away on July 5, 2010, in Atlanta, Georgia, due to respiratory arrest. His legacy includes his significant contributions to opera, particularly his memorable portrayal of Don Giovanni. He also participated in conductor Arturo Toscanini’s last performance of Verdi’s “Requiem” in 1951, which was broadcast live and later preserved on various audio formats.
