Char Fontane was born as Kerry Charae Fontane on January 12, 1952, in Los Angeles, California. She was the daughter of singer Tony Fontane and actress Carol West. Throughout her life, she married three times; her spouses included Sergio Consani and Robert Mitchell, with whom she eventually divorced. Char had a son named Shaun Fontane.
