Charles Huntsberry, also known by nicknames like Chick and Big Chick, was born in 1941. He was known for his impressive height of 6 feet 8 inches (2.03 m) and his signature “Santa Claus” beard. He had a wife named Linda and together they raised six children. After a troubled period in his life, he turned to evangelism and founded Big Chick’s Ministries.

Career

Before becoming an actor, Charles was a professional wrestler and also served as a bodyguard for the famous musician Prince. He appeared as Chick in the 1984 film Purple Rain, which showcased his transition from the wrestling ring to the film industry. After his time with Prince, he struggled with addiction but later found a new path as an evangelist.

Charles Huntsberry passed away on April 2, 1990, due to heart failure. He died without life insurance, leaving behind his widow and six children.
