Lang began his film career in 1940 with the drama One Crowded Night. He appeared in various films, including a role alongside Bud Abbott and Lou Costello in Keep ‘Em Flying and in Wildcat Bus with Fay Wray. In the 1950s, he transitioned to writing screenplays, working on films like The Magnificent Matador and writing episodes for classic television shows such as Cheyenne and Perry Mason.
