Born Charles Pacific Morrison on April 3, 1878, in Morrison, Colorado, he was the son of Tom Morrison. Chick was married to Ann Marie Morrison until his untimely death in 1924. He had several family members in the film industry, including his brothers, Carl and Pete Morrison.

Career

Chick Morrison started his career in the film industry when the Selig company began filming in Morrison in 1909. His skills with horses caught the attention of director Gilbert M. Anderson, leading him to perform stunts for various productions. Over time, he advanced to leading roles and trained animals for major films, becoming a prominent figure in Hollywood.

Death and Legacy

On June 20, 1924, Chick Morrison died tragically during a film shoot when his horse, Young Steamboat, fell on him, resulting in instant death. His legacy lives on through his contributions to early cinema and the impact he made within the animal training community in the film industry.
