Chris Barber was married three times. His first wife was Ottilie Patterson from 1959 until their divorce in 1983. He later married Kate, who remained with him until his death in 2021, and had two children with his third wife Renata. Chris Barber passed away on March 2, 2021, due to dementia. His extensive career spanned over five decades, during which he played more than 15,000 concerts across 50 countries.
