Consuelo was the daughter of Julian García Segarra and Valentina Sampela. Throughout her life, she was married twice: first to Emilio Banuet Guerra from 1891 until his death in 1895, and later to Alfredo Macias Carrillo, with whom she shared her life starting in 1915.
