Albert “Curley” Dresden was an American actor known for his roles in various films from the late 1920s to the early 1950s. He is best remembered for his performances in “Roaring Six Guns,” “Only Angels Have Wings,” and “Billy the Kid’s Gun Justice.”

Curley Dresden was born on July 17, 1899, in Chicago, Illinois. His real surname was spelled “Drezden,” and his parents were originally from Germany. He was married twice; first to Margaret Valborg Axelgard from 1921 to 1923, and later to Alma C. Heinfeld in 1924.

Career

Dresden appeared in numerous films during his acting career, often taking on supporting roles as henchmen or other characters. He worked in various genres but was particularly prominent in westerns and action films. His last known occupation before his death was as a newspaper delivery person for the “Spokane Spokesman-Review.”

Death and Legacy

Curley Dresden passed away on June 7, 1953, due to liver failure at The Norland Hotel in Spokane, Washington. His contributions to film during the early 20th century are remembered, even if many of his roles were uncredited or minor. His legacy lives on through his extensive filmography.
