Dan Vasile Bubulici was born on December 4, 1945, in Zimnicea, Romania. He grew up in Arad, Transylvania, due to his father’s career as an Army officer. After studying Acting at the Romanian Theatre and Film Institute in Bucharest, he worked at various theaters in Romania before immigrating to the United States. He had a complex family life, experiencing several relocations and separations over the years.
Career
After leaving Romania in 1986, Dan initially worked as a painter in the U.S. while trying to reignite his acting career. He eventually moved to Hollywood, Florida, before traveling through South America and Germany. In 1992, he returned to the United States and began establishing his own tile companies, which marked a shift from acting to business.
Death and Legacy
Dan Bubulici died on April 14, 2012, in Fairlawn, Ohio, at the age of 66 from a heart attack. He passed away just a day before Orthodox Easter, a significant time for him. His ashes were wished to be scattered in the Danube Delta, honoring his Romanian roots and the life he experienced by the river.
