David Hedison

David Hedison was born Albert David Hedison Jr. on May 20, 1927, in Providence, Rhode Island. He was the son of Albert David Hedison Sr. and Rose Boghosian, who were naturalized citizens from Armenia. Hedison was married to Bridget Hedison from June 29, 1968, until her death on February 22, 2016, and they had two daughters, Alexandra and Serena.

Career

Hedison’s acting career began after he completed military service. He trained at Brown University and the Neighborhood Playhouse School before making his stage debut as ‘Al Hedison.’ He gained recognition for his performance in “A Month in the Country,” which led to significant roles in films and television. Notably, he portrayed André Delambre in The Fly and Captain Lee Crane in the television series Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, which became his most famous role.
