Diana Millay was born as Diana Claire Roberts to Frank Harry Roberts and Claire Van Blarcom Smith. She was married to Geoffrey Montgomery Talbot Jones from 1966 to 1968 and had one son, Kiley Jones. Diana’s mother had Dutch and German ancestry, and she began her performing career at a young age, starting with tap dancing and modeling.

Millay started her show business career early, modeling in the mid-1940s and participating in summer stock theater.
