Dolores Fuller was born on March 10, 1923, in South Bend, Indiana. She was married twice, first to Donald Kenneth Fuller from 1941 to 1955, with whom she had two children, and later to Philip Chamberlin from 1988 until her death in 2011. She enjoyed a creative career, which started when she was just a child, being inspired by her experience as an extra in It Happened One Night.

In the early 1950s, Fuller began her film career and became involved with filmmaker Edward D. Wood Jr. She appeared in several of his films and even wrote songs for notable movies, including Elvis Presley’s Blue Hawaii.
