Don Alvarado was married twice. His first marriage was to Ann Boyar when they were teenagers, and they had one daughter, Joy. After six years, their marriage ended when Ann fell in love with film mogul Jack Warner. Alvarado later married Norma Pauline Creasman in 1951, who remained with him until his death in 1967.
