He was married three times, first to Irene Maskell Mitchell, then to Joy Weber, with whom he had one child, and finally to Suzanne Marie Josephine (Fischer) Sinaiko until her passing in 1998. Buka was also the father of Dr. Robert Buka and the uncle of Dr. Stephen Buka and David Buka.
