Devore was married to Albert Wylie Mather in 1926. She gained recognition in the entertainment industry after being named a ‘Wampas Baby Star’ in 1923.

Cinematic Career

Initially, Dorothy Devore performed in amateur shows and vaudeville, becoming a talented singer. In 1918, she signed with film producer Al Christie and developed a successful career as a light romance actress and comedic star. In 1924, she signed a seven-year contract with Warner Bros./First National but later chose to leave it. Devore struggled to adapt to sound films and retired from acting in the early 1930s.
