Born on May 23, 1952, in Culver City, California, Doug Boyd was the youngest of four siblings in the Boyd family. He discovered his passion for singing and acting at a young age and often performed as a singing waiter in Los Angeles. Doug graduated with a B.A. in English from Sonoma State University in 1975 and began a diverse career in acting and voice-over work.

Career

Doug started his professional journey by winning the television competition “The Gong Show” with his musical talent. Over the years, he became known for his extensive work in voice acting, featuring in numerous video games and advertisements. He married Lori Owens in 1983 and together they raised two daughters in Richmond, California, before relocating to Oakland in 2002.
