Dragan Nikolic

Dragan Nikolic was an American actor best known for his roles in “When I Am Dead and Gone,” “Lovers,” and “St. George Kills The Dragon.”

Born on August 20, 1943, in Belgrade, Serbia, Yugoslavia, Dragan Nikolic, also known as Gaga, had a height of approximately 6 feet. He was married to actress Milena Dravic from December 31, 1971, until his death. Throughout his life, he was deeply involved in the arts, both in film and theatre, contributing greatly to the cultural landscape of Serbia.

Career

Dragan Nikolic began his acting career with his first movie, “When I Am Dead and Gone” (1967), where he played the character Dzimi Barka. Over his career, he appeared in over 90 feature films and received several awards, including the “October award” of Belgrade in 1985. He was also a dedicated member of the renowned Belgrade theatre “Atelje 212” for four decades.

Death and Legacy

Dragan Nikolic passed away on March 11, 2016, in Belgrade, Serbia, due to cancer. His legacy remains influential in the Serbian film and theatre industry, known for his diverse roles and memorable performances throughout the years.
