Dwight Latham was born on May 23, 1903, in New Britain, Connecticut. He was married to Margaret Alice Breen from 1930 until his death in 1987. Latham created a successful career in music, contributing significantly to commercial jingles and various musical compositions.

Career

After graduating high school, Latham formed the Jesters Trio, which enjoyed a successful run in entertainment, performing in various mediums. In 1948, he became a member of ASCAP, showcasing his influence in the music industry through his original songs such as “Hiawatha’s Mittens” and “Bread and Gravy”. He also worked as a West Coast representative for Hansen Publications starting in 1950.

Death and Legacy

Dwight Latham passed away on August 25, 1987, in Laguna Hills, California. His contributions to music and television have left a lasting impact, particularly through his memorable songs and collaborations with the Jesters.
