Ed McDaniel was born Edward Hugh McDaniel in Louisiana. He played collegiate football at the University of Oklahoma, showcasing his skills as a kicker and a fullback. He was also a respected Native American figure in professional wrestling, making a significant impact in the sport.

Professional Career

Before becoming a full-time wrestler, McDaniel played professional football for teams like the Houston Oilers and the Miami Dolphins. He began wrestling during the off-seasons and eventually transitioned to wrestling full-time after retiring from football in 1968. Throughout his wrestling career, he achieved many titles and became a celebrated wrestler in numerous promotions.

Death and Legacy

Ed McDaniel passed away on April 18, 2002, in Houston, Texas, due to complications from diabetes and renal failure. He was 63 years old at the time of his death.
