Edgar was born to Olivia Deborah Davis and Edgar Leon Davis, Sr. He attended University City Senior High School from 1976 to 1980. He received his B.F.A. in Painting from the Kansas City Art Institute and later earned an M.F.A. in Acting from the University of Minnesota’s Department of Theater Arts and Dance.

Career Highlights

Throughout his career, Edgar took on various non-acting jobs including being a movie theater projectionist, security guard, and acting teacher. He also spent three months in Sendai, Japan, teaching English at an all-girls’ high school.
