Edward Laurence Heimberger was born on February 20, 1951, in Los Angeles, California. He was the son of actor Eddie Albert and Mexican actress Margo. Edward had a daughter named Thais with his wife, Katherine Woodville, whom he married on June 27, 1979. He was fluent in multiple languages and had a passion for music and the arts, which he promoted throughout his life.

Career

Edward made his film debut at a young age in The Fool Killer (1965). His major breakthrough came in Butterflies Are Free (1972), where he played a blind man seeking independence. Though he didn’t achieve the same level of success in subsequent films, he found a fruitful career in television. He appeared in many shows including Falcon Crest, L.A. Law, and Beauty and the Beast, where he showcased his versatility as an actor.

Death and Legacy

Edward Albert passed away on September 22, 2006, from lung cancer in Malibu, California, at the age of 55.
