Edward G. Robinson Jr. was an American actor who is best known for Some Like It Hot, Get Smart, and Invasion, U.S.A. He was born on March 19, 1933, in Los Angeles, California, and passed away on February 26, 1974.
Personal and Family Life
Edward was the son of famous actor Edward G. Robinson and Gladys Lloyd. Throughout his life, he was married three times, to Frances Chisholm, Ruth Elaine Menold Conte, and Nan Elizabeth Morris. He had one child, Adam Edward Robinson-Sanchez, who is his grandchild.
Death and Legacy
Edward G. Robinson Jr. died of a heart attack on February 26, 1974, just one year after his father’s death. His autobiography, “My Father, My Son,” reveals that scandal from a bad check affected his career, costing him a role in “Bride of the Gorilla.” Edward also inspired the character Eddie G. in the 2001 mini-series “Blonde.”
