Edward Michael Tierney was born on May 13, 1928, in Brooklyn, New York. He was married three times, first to Hanna Axmann-Rezzori and later to Ann Katherine Winterburn, with whom he had three children. He had two siblings, Scott Brady and Lawrence Tierney, and was related to Terence Tierney, his niece or nephew.

Death and Legacy

Edward Tierney passed away on December 18, 1983, in Orange, California, due to diabetic shock. His contribution to film and television, including several German movies, left a lasting impact. Even though he portrayed an American in many of his roles, he was fluent in German, which helped him succeed in the international market.
