Eemeli

Eemeli was an American actor best known for Oho, sanoi Eemeli, Kaks’ tavallista Lahtista, and Yks’ tavallinen Virtanen. He was born Esko Toivonen on June 28, 1920, in Helsinki, Finland, and passed away on November 9, 1987, in the same city.

Personal and Family Life

Eemeli was married to Marjatta Toivonen, with whom he had five children. In addition to his acting career, he wrote a book titled “Eemelin hätäopas” (Eemeli’s Emergency Guide) published in 1967. He was known for his work as a comic singer in Finland, often incorporating risqué lyrics into his songs.

Death and Legacy

Eemeli died on November 9, 1987, in Helsinki, leaving behind a legacy as a beloved figure in Finnish entertainment. His voice work as “King Louie” in the Finnish version of Disney’s “The Jungle Book” is particularly remembered. He was influential in the Finnish film and music industry during his lifetime.
