Elfriede Kuzmany was born on September 29, 1915, in Rokitnitz, Bohemia, which is now in the Czech Republic. She married Achim Wachsmann, and they had two children, Jutta and Michael. Until 1979, she was an important member of the Munich Residenztheater, where she performed in many plays. Elfriede often played sensitive and complex characters throughout her career.
Career
Kuzmany began her studies in painting and graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Later, she transitioned to acting and made her stage debut in 1938, becoming a member of the Vienna Theater in der Josefstadt until 1944. Throughout her career, she distinguished herself as a talented stage actress and later returned to painting, finding success as a watercolor artist.
