Elith Pio was born on July 3, 1887, in Copenhagen, Denmark. He was married to Marie ‘Soffy’ Christensen from October 23, 1912, until her death on July 4, 1982. Together, they had three children and enjoyed a long, scandal-free marriage.

Career

Pio began his acting career in 1907 with a touring company after being influenced by both of his theatrical parents. He made his film debut in 1908 and went on to work on many silent films. Known for his ability to play darker roles, he preferred more sinister characters over comedic ones.
