Elizabeth Boyer

Elizabeth Boyer was an American actress who is best known for her role in The Sport of the Gods (1921). Born on June 16, 1902, in Jacksonville, Florida, she became a significant figure in vintage Black cinema.

Elizabeth Boyer was married to Bob Sawyer from 1921 until her death in 1946 and they had two children together. She had a sister named Anise Boyer, with whom she shared a close bond.

Death and Legacy

On December 25, 1946, Elizabeth Boyer tragically died by suicide, jumping or falling from the bathroom window of her Harlem apartment. Her untimely death left a mark on the community, and she is remembered for her contributions to early cinema, particularly in the portrayal of Black characters.
