Born on December 22, 1908, in London, England, Elsa Buchanan’s birth name was Elsie Winifred Buchanan Tinker. She got married to Noll Charlton in 1938, and they had one child together. Sadly, Noll passed away in 1966. Elsa was noteworthy for her distinctive blonde hair and was often called “the girl with the largest eyes and the smallest waist in Hollywood.”
Career
Elsa made her stage debut at the young age of three at the Palace Theater, where she performed for an audience that included Queen Mary. She was also the first Englishwoman to gain admission to the training school of the Academie Francaise. Throughout her career, she appeared in various films in the 1930s, becoming well-known for her on-screen presence.

Elsa Buchanan passed away on January 17, 2004, in Childswickham, Worcestershire, England.
